Rare vintage 1971 Fausto Santini of Rome, Italy First Collection handbag. Features the classic firm structured rounded handle. The entire outer bag is made of smooth black leather. Pre-owned, showing some scrapes on the outside corners and some makeup stains on the inside black cloth. Dimensions: 7.25” wide, 5.25” tall, 3.24” thick at the bottom, tapering to 2” thick at the top. Handle drop is 4”. Marked “FAUSTO SANTINI” on top of the bag between the handles and inside the bag just below the zippered pocket. Also on the inside “MADE IN ITALY” is stamped. Two steel snap closures. Fausto Santini is known for avant-garde elegant minimalist design. Collectible and rare.
